The Association of Feature Film and Series Producers and Filmmakers of Brasília (APROCINE) is one of the most established and active organizations in Brazil’s audiovisual industry in the Central-West region. Founded on August 27, 2003, and headquartered in Brasília, the association was originally established to advocate for local feature film producers and has progressively expanded its institutional scope to represent producers and creators of television series, streaming content, and multiplatform narratives.
Founded by the master documentarian Vladimir Carvalho (In Memoriam), APROCINE unites 26 active member filmmakers and independent production companies . Together, our community embodies the unmistakable identity of "candango" cinema: politically conscious, aesthetically inventive, and intimately tied to the history, social contradictions, labor struggles, and plural cultural expressions of Brazil's federal capital.

Historic roots and executive leadership driving APROCINE

Santiago Dellape
Nada Consta formalizes two decades of creative partnership between director Santiago Dellape and screenwriter Davi Mattos. The production company is named after the duo's first short film, Nada Consta (2006), winner of Best Screenplay at the 39th Brasília Film Festival. This was followed by Nada Consta 2: Malditos Robôs (2008) and the adventure-comedy Ratão (2010), Audience Award for Best Film at the 38th Gramado Film Festival. Their feature film debut came with the sci-fi comedy A Repartição do Tempo (2016), awarded at the 37th Fantasporto in Portugal. In 2017, they created the TV film Meio Expediente, a TV Globo Christmas special broadcast to over 10 million viewers across 77 countries, followed by the TV film Fuga de Natal (2018) on Tela Quente. They are currently dedicated to the release of the feature film Verão da Lata, a crime-comedy based on one of the most unusual incidents in Brazilian counterculture, and the development of the horror project Saçurá, supported by Rumos Itaú Cultural and derived from the short film Vão das Almas (2023), which received over 60 awards across nearly 200 festivals.
Cibele Amaral
Neo Cortex Entretenimento is the production company led by director and screenwriter Cibele Amaral. In 2021, it co-produced the feature film Shake Your Cares Away with Berlin-based One Two Films. The company was also an associate producer of the film Ninguém Sai Vivo Daqui (2021) and the Canal Brasil series Colônia. Its co-productions include the feature films Por Que Você Não Chora? (2021) and Rir Pra Não Chorar (2022), both available on streaming platforms. Upcoming projects include the feature film O Frenólogo and the release of three additional feature films.

The name Sebastiana—meaning "sacred," "venerable," and "glorious"—pays tribute to the ancestry of its founders, Edileuza Penha de Souza and Tito Abayomi, who promote reverence for ancestry and a diverse, egalitarian, and inclusive world. This philosophy guides all company productions, driven by a professional, creative, multidisciplinary, and talented team.
